Internal Free Prize Draw Terms and Conditions

  1. By entering the prize draw you are agreeing to these prize draw terms and conditions.
  2. The prize draw is being run by the HSBC WPB Sustainability Week 2024 team within WPB Sustainability & Inclusion.

 

Eligibility to enter

  1. The prize draw is open to all WPB colleagues who have completed at least four of the WPB Sustainability Week webinar sessions and all five daily quizzes with a pass rate of 70% or more by COB Friday 25th October 2024. (Non-WPB staff are excluded from the draw).
  2. Upon qualification of the above and therefore entry into the prize draw, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win.
  3. A maximum of one entry per individual is permitted.
  4. The prize draw is free to enter.

 

How to enter

  1. The prize draw will include those who meet the above criteria as of COB on Friday 25th October 2024.
  2. We will not accept responsibility if input required is incomplete or inaccurate or missing.

 

The prize

  1. The prizes will be 5 x $100 retail vouchers from a sustainable brand/outlet based on the winners’ locations, and 1 x Mastercard Eco-Experience or similar worth up to USD5000 based on the location of the winner including: return travel allowance (this will be the most sustainable form of transport available within the experience), 1 x dining experience, 2 nights 5* hotel accommodation, including breakfast, 1 x experience at the destination and $500 spending money or equivalent. Prizes may vary subject to availability in winning country.
  2. The use of a particular brand(s) as prizes does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement of such brands.

  1. The winner will be drawn at random.
  2. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternatives will be offered.
  3. We reserve the right to substitute prizes with another prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond our control make it necessary to do so.

  1. The decision of WPB regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.

 

Winner announcement

  1. The winner will be notified on/after Monday 28th October 2024 via their HSBC work email.
  2. WPB will attempt to contact the winner by email up to two times.
  3. If the winner does not respond to the emails notifying them of their win within 14 days of the second email, they will lose their right to the prize, and we reserve the right to choose and notify a new winner.

 

Receipt of the prize

  1. Please allow 60 days for delivery of the prize or alternative collection or delivery arrangements may be made through mutual agreement.

 

Data protection and publicity

  1. All entrants may apply for details of the winning participant by contacting us at wpb.sustainability.and.inclusion@noexternalmail.hsbc.com.

  2. The winner agrees to the release of their first name and job title to any other prize draw participants if requested via WPB / HSBC.

  3. An announcement of the winners first name, title and HSBC team will be made via internal email and on Workplace.
  4. All personal information shall be used in accordance with HSBC’s Privacy Notice.

 

Limitation of Liability

  1. WPB does not accept any liability for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrants as a result of either participating in the prize draw or being selected for a prize, save that WPB does not exclude its liability for death or personal injury as a result of its own negligence.

  1. WPB does not provide any form of practical or IT support for this prize. On receipt, all responsibilities relating to warranty and the product are that of the prize winner.

 

General

  1. WPB reserves the right to cancel the prize draw or amend these terms and conditions at any time, without prior notice.

  2. The prize draw and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
